Barrie brings over 30 years’ experience of sales and technical leadership roles at IBM which he originally joined as an engineer. He worked with many global clients and governments, and headed their mainframe computer operations in Northern Europe. 

After leaving IBM he was CCO of an AI-driven farming robotics startup.

He is also an experienced angel investor, with unicorn Calm amongst his portfolio of over 60 tech startups, in addition to investments into a number of Pi Labs portfolio companies.

Barrie has worked alongside Pi Labs for a number of years, providing B2B sales training to Pi Labs portfolio companies. He graduated from the University of Edinburgh in Computer Science and Electronics, and has an MBA from Manchester Business School. He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS).
